Following a temporary pause in the national Canada Post labour disruption at the end of 2024, negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) are ongoing. A strike or service interruption remains possible as early as May 22, 2025.

While a resolution may still be reached, Ippolito Transportation Inc is encouraging customer to prepare for potential service interruptions. A Canada Post strike will not affect outbound invoices, as this is done completely electronically. To ensure timely settlement and avoid any disruptions in payments, we strongly recommend transitioning to Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or etransfer.

By using electronic payments which can be processed quickly and securely, helping to avoid potential reporting of delayed payments to credit agencies.
